Book Lovers by Emily Henry

I am a book lover but not usually a romcom reader. Because of this, I was hesitant to read Book Lovers by Emily Henry until my daughter persuaded me. She knew I’d enjoy the talk of publishing, use of a favorite pen and the name dropping of bookstores even if it was woven insides a familiar enemies-to-lovers trope. She was right!

Book Lovers is a delightful and funny romcom and sister story. It has its deep and moving moments but overall it left me feeling warm and fuzzy. Kind of like the way the main character, Nora Stephens, describes the way she feels walking into the library on Page 236 —“that delicious warm-paper smell folds around me like a hug.” Book Lovers is just like that. A warm, funny, book-loving hug.
